About
About Trump Digital Gold
Two questions come before all the others: who stands behind TDGOLD, and what the name has to do with Donald Trump.
The answer to the second one is no. There is no affiliation, no licence, no endorsement and no commercial relationship of any kind. The rest of this page is the long version.
None of it has to be taken on trust. The asset code, the 56 character issuing account, the home domain and the supply are fields you can read straight off the network, and the four checks that tell a genuine asset from a copy read them from a public API rather than from here.
TDGOLD is not affiliated with Donald J. Trump, the Trump Organization, or any related entity
TDGOLD is an independent, community-issued Stellar asset. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Donald J. Trump, any member of the Trump family, the Trump Organization, any Trump business or campaign, or any of their trademarks. The name is a theme, not an endorsement.
Why the name, and what a name is not
The gold half is the point of the project. The supply of 6,830,000,000 is roughly the troy ounces humanity has ever mined, about 212,000 tonnes, so there is one token per ounce. Where that goes from here is set out phase by phase on the roadmap, and gold backing is what phase four is built around.
The other half is a naming choice, because on Stellar a name carries no authority. An asset code is a field in a ledger entry, one to twelve characters, stored as credit_alphanum12 once it passes four. Codes are not unique and there is no registry, so two assets sharing a code but not an issuer are simply different assets. That is also why the question that comes up most often is how to tell the real one apart.
People searching for a Trump gold coin or a Trump crypto token usually mean one of two different things: a physical commemorative coin sold by someone else entirely, or a token on a blockchain. TDGOLD is the second kind, and specifically a Stellar asset rather than a coin with its own network. It has no physical form, no mint and nothing to ship.
Who publishes this site
This is a small independent project with one domain and one contact address, [email protected]. There is no team page, because a photograph and a list of names prove nothing about who holds the keys.
What is publicly verifiable is control rather than identity. Only the holder of the issuing key can write trumpdigitalgold.com into the home_domain field on that account, and only whoever runs the domain can serve a stellar.toml naming the account back. Neither side produces that pair alone, so run the round trip rather than believe the prose.
Reporting an impersonation or a counterfeit TDGOLD
Asset codes are not unique, so anyone can issue a token calling itself TDGOLD, and a fake on another chain costs nothing to deploy. If you find one, three things make a report actionable.
- 1
Copy the issuing account of the fake
The account is what identifies an asset, not the six letters of its code. Copy the full G address of whatever you are looking at, straight from the wallet or explorer showing it.
- 2
Record where it appeared
A screenshot with the URL visible, or the message that pointed you at it. Without a source there is nothing for anyone to act on.
- 3
Tell the platform that displayed it
Explorers, wallets and aggregators all have abuse channels, and they act on evidence about a specific issuing account. Send it to us as well so the warning can go out from here.
Before you trade anything calling itself TDGOLD, compare the issuing account against the one published here. The verification guide walks through it, and the risks page covers what else is worth knowing first.
See the TDGOLD numbers on the ledger
The tokenomics page carries every number, and each one is readable off the Stellar ledger.
